Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 July 2026

Kiyu Labs, a partnership of M.K Lieng & A.Y Su (ABN 88 438 580 536) ("Kiyu Labs", "we", "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website at kiyulabs.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and your rights. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Information we collect

We only collect personal information you choose to give us:

  • Enquiry form. When you submit an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, company (optional), the details of your message, and the topic and rough budget you select.
  • Booking a call. When you book a consultation, our scheduling provider collects your name, email address and any details you add so we can arrange and hold the meeting.
  • Direct contact. If you email us, we receive whatever information is in your message.

Our Site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not set cookies of its own. Some embedded third-party tools (see below) may set their own cookies when you interact with them.

2. Sensitive information

We do not seek to collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or ethnic origin, or political or religious details) as defined in the Privacy Act. If you choose to include such information in an enquiry, we will only use it for the purpose you provided it and with your consent.

3. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • respond to your enquiry and communicate with you;
  • schedule, prepare for and hold consultations;
  • provide, quote for and improve our services;
  • keep records and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated advertising.

4. Direct marketing

From time to time we may send you information about our services. Any such message will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by emailing hello@kiyulabs.com. We do not provide your information to third parties for their own marketing.

5. Third parties who process your information

We use trusted third-party services to run the Site and handle enquiries. When you use these features, your information is processed by:

  • Web3Forms delivers our enquiry-form submissions to our inbox.
  • Calendly powers the booking calendar and stores the details of scheduled meetings; it may set its own cookies.
  • Vercel hosts the Site and processes standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve pages securely.

These providers may store or process data on servers outside Australia (for example, in the United States). We only share what is necessary for the feature to work, and each provider maintains its own privacy policy.

6. AI and your data

We never use the personal information you provide, or client data from our engagements, to train public or third-party AI models. Where our work involves AI, it runs through private, access-controlled interfaces rather than public AI tools.

7. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, including notifying affected individuals and the OAIC where required.

9. Your rights

You may ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or to delete it where we are not required to keep it. To make a request, or if you have a privacy concern or complaint, email us at hello@kiyulabs.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

10. Links to other sites

The Site may link to external websites (for example, project or client sites). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their own policies.

11. Children's privacy

Our Site and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may change from time to time and the current version is always available on this page, shown with its "last updated" date.
